Wow! It's been a while since I have wrote a blog! Where have I been?
Well, let's recap. Joe and I moved to Arkansas from Mississippi so that we could both attend a University. We somehow thought we both would be able to go to college and work full time. Yea, right. So, here we are, in Arkansas having no idea what to do next.
I thought I wanted to just get my bachelors in Accounting. But, I landed an awesome job at a local hospital that really opened my eyes up to the medical field. I was already having thoughts that I might want to get into nursing but this really sealed the deal.
I went to meet with an adviser in May about seeing what I needed to do to get into the local nursing program. She pretty much told me that with my GPA (3.2) there's no way I could get in. She said they only usually accept 3.4 and above. Yea, I left a total mess. It made me completely not know what to do. I HATE when someone tells me I can't do something. I was so angry with myself for letting myself even have a 3.2 GPA. Why did I slack so much? Why did I stop caring about my grades?
Anyways, I got this job at the hospital. I interact with people all day long. And I love it. Yea, there are ALOT of crazy people but still I do really like the hospital environment. So, that's why I have decided that I am going to major in Biology. I'm going to go to either Medical School or Pharmacy School. You can think I'm crazy. You can think that I'm just wasting my time. But, no. I am determined. I am going to do something with my life. I am going to try my hardest to get into Medical or Pharmacy school. If I can't I'll go back and do nursing but I won't ever know until I try. Everyone tells me "yes, do it. your smart enough." Do they really think that though?
Anyways, Joe is hopefully getting a job soon where he will be working 10 day on 4 days off. Yes, I'm going to miss my husband but I think it'll give me a good opportunity to have study time since I'm planning on kicking this Biology major in the A**. It's going to suck being over here alone. I already miss my family but I'm sure with him gone will only make it worse. But I just have to think about our future. I'm going to do this so that when I get done with school he can go be whatever he wants to be.
I really thank God for giving me someone who is willing to put his education on hold and work full time to provide for us while I go follow my dreams. Wow, did I really just say that? Yes, if I follow through with this I will be following my dreams.

Our new life...
Wow, the last 3 weeks have been crazy...but yet so amazing.
We signed our lease to our first place on the 6th. So, we've been here for 3 weeks. It's nice to finally be able to settle down. Today though we finally "decorated" and put all of our photo frames and paintings up.
I love our little place. It's just the right size for us. (Not to mention it's nice not to have to clean up a big place). Zippy is adjusting pretty well. We're trying to get used to having to take her out every couple of hours. Joe's been working back in Memphis 3-4 days a week so that's been a little difficult but honestly, I think it only makes us stronger. We haven't been apart this much in 3-4 years so it's tough but we're adjusting. I started a new job literally the day we moved here. It's been a crazy ride.
Things I've learned since we've moved:
I only cook when Joe's home, if it's just me then it's ramen noodles.
I love to cook.
I love to clean the kitchen.
I wash a load of dishes everyday.
Olive oil is expensive.
If I have cokes in the fridge I will drink them.
Men can't put their dishes in the dish washer.
Men can't put the toilet seat down.
Our apartment's fire detector is VERY sensitive and goes off every time I cook.
Our apartment's fire detector is hard wired (you cannot remove the batteries).
Our upstairs neighbors don't sleep.
I HATE washing clothes.
Yep, that's it for now. I just thought I'd write a little bit so one day I can come back and look back on it.
So, I'm pretty happy with our decision to move. Don't get me wrong, it's been hard. I really miss my family and Joe's but it was for the best. I'm making new friends and learning to get around here. I'm excited to see what the future holds. Who knows?

The name "Oven, Camera, Scissors" came from the three things I like to do and are learning how to do.
OVEN- As a new wife there are many things you have to learn including how to cook for you and your husband. We will be moving soon to our own house where there won't be my mother in law to cook for us anymore. I'm going to have to experiment and learn along the way and that's one of the things that will be making up this blog! I will try to blog recipes I try out as much as I can.
CAMERA- Ever since I can remember I've always loved photographs. Within the last 2 years I started taking photos of people for a living. As much as I loved it I realized I'm just not enjoying it as much as I'd want to be. But, I'm now trying to find my lost love. Even though I'm not doing photography for work anymore I do still try to photography everything I can in my life! Photographs are memories that last forever and let me tell you, I have plenty!
SCISSORS- I love love love love love love love to craft. I love to make things. I'm so blessed to have a crafty side. I scrapbook not only the normal way but also digitally. I etch glass, Paint...you name it I can probably do it. I have so many crafts I'm wanting to try out and this is where I'll be posting tutorials and photos.
I really hope you enjoy. I won't be sharing this with many people until I get a few posts up just to get it up and running. But, if you are reading this. Thank you so much! And make sure you subscribe!
